Zamfara Government Donates Transformer to FMC Gusau

The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Gusau, has expressed deep appreciation to the Zamfara State Government for the donation of a 500/33 kVA transformer aimed at improving power supply to the facility.

Receiving the transformer on behalf of the Medical Director, Dr. Bello A. Mohammed, the Deputy Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Abubakar Musa, described the gesture as timely and highly beneficial to the hospital’s operations.

Dr. Mohammed noted that the improved power supply would significantly enhance service delivery across various departments of the centre, particularly in critical areas that rely heavily on stable electricity.

In a statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Officer of FMC Gusau, Dr. Naziru A. Tukur, the management commended the state government for its continued support to the health sector.

The statement further emphasized that the provision of the transformer would help in improving patient care and overall efficiency.

Dr. Musa called on all tiers of government, relevant agencies, corporate organisations, non-governmental organisations, and well-meaning individuals to emulate the gesture by supporting the hospital through similar interventions.

The transformer was donated through the Zamfara State Rural Electrification Agency in collaboration with the Zamfara State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
